Being self employed is the most difficult financial undertaking I’ve ever attempted! Every single quarter I take a look at the money I send in for taxes and what is left over and ask myself, “How is anyone supposed to live on this?!”
For real, I’d probably have more disposable income if I worked for someone else. Trouble is, I value my freedom waaaay too much! I’d rather have to make ends meet on a threadbare budget than the alternative.
And if you’re reading this my guess is that you agree.
Many self employed business owners are on a VERY tight budget.
And if you’re actively trying to stay out of consumer debt, you just tightened the belt one notch further! Surviving the requisite business building time until ROI can feel super-human and as a matter of fact, I think it is!
Not only are we on a tight budget our resources of time are limited too! We’re giving everything to our business!
And you know what they say, Entrepreneurs are the only people willing to work 80 hours a week to avoid working 40 for someone else.
And it’s true.
Thankfully though, I’ve come up with a few hacks that help me feel less homeless and more lux while investing all the time and money I have into my business building.
Luckily the ideas below can be created almost out of thin air, which is how some of us need to roll in the beginning.
