There’s one thing we all want more of in life—joy.
Even though I’m a firm believer in the purpose and power of ALL emotions, there are of course, a few that are more ‘fun’ than others and joy is at the top of the list, literally. As a matter of fact, in David Hawkins’ diagram from his famous book Power vs. Force, he gives actual numerical values to the low and high frequencies of the main human emotions, and joy is almost at the top! Believe it or not, joy actually ranks third as one of the highest frequencies of emotions you can have. Enlightenment is first, peace second, joy third, and love actually comes after joy! When you experience love, you would quickly start feeling more joy, so it makes a lot of sense.
If you are able to keep yourself in one of these higher frequencies, you will be matched with circumstances that are also at those frequencies. In a basic way, this is what the Law of Attraction means—like attracts like. So! If you want more joy in your life, you need to be vibrating from that joy frequency!
Here are just a few things that can help you step into more of a joy frequency:
Spend time with little furry creatures that you love.
Be creative. (Yes, everyone can be creative.)
Be in nature.
Do something nice for someone else just because.
Wear something hilarious.
Get your sweat on!
Try something new.
Do something that makes you laugh.
Spend time with little kids or babies.
Join a team doing something you love.
Sing at the top of your lungs.
Have a mud fight.
Get a massage.
Lay in the sun.
Have conversations with inanimate objects or something else that seems silly to you.
Be silly in general.
Look through pictures of a fun memory.
Call someone you love that you haven’t talked to in a long time.
Eat some dark chocolate.
Learn to play an instrument.
Speak your mind.
Laugh hysterically for no reason.
Watch silly videos on YouTube.
Talk to yourself like you are your absolute favorite person, every single day.
